Great brewpub, with excellent choices of drinks and food! Their beer selection is brilliant, for every taste. Such a nice experience to be able to taste all the different styles. But for those not into beer, no problem. They have a cocktail menu with some options that are beyond delicious. Both cocktails and mocktails are tasteful and really well presented. High level quality. The food could not be different - the portions are decent and the quality not questionable. I am passionate about their braised beef - the beef is perfect, paired with the vegetables and sauce - the whole composition of the dish is just a hug in your soul! Really worth it. They also have a nice dessert menu - including a gluten free brownie.
On sunny days, they also have a nice garden at the back. I love taking the train to Sallins and Naas - that stops just beside it - so I can fully enjoy the experience (I find it particularly handy for those not from around, so we don’t need to drive).
I highly recommend this place!

Amazing food and such a warm, welcoming atmosphere – it really feels like home every time we visit. Everyone is so friendly and always makes us feel welcome. The décor is beautiful and adds to the cosy atmosphere. This is definitely our number one pub and our go-to place every week. Highly recommended!

First trip to Sallins and booked into the Kildare Brewery tour, followed by a meal in the adjoining Lock 13 restaurant.

Ryan was a brilliant guide on the tour - very informative and friendly. Lots of renewable processes where possible which shows they are an eco conscious business. We added the 5 tasting beers. Highly recommend both IPAs they were delicious!

In the restaurant the atmosphere was great. Incredibly busy as well which is a good sign. Our food was good, my steak perhaps just a bit more tough than I'd have liked, but everything else was delicious. Would recommend the prawn starter and the broccoli as a side.

Our servers were Caolon and Sarah who were so friendly and helpful. I have also never had a tastier espresso martini in my life! Two made by Caolon and Ryan. Amazing bar men.

We will definitely be back on another trip!
